Yes You're Right, This Song Is For You Posted at 06:32 AM It's the first week of the first month of the new year... and I shouldn't be feeling so sad and so lost at all. Unfortunately, here I am looking like a total looser. I'm moping around and staring at this chunk of hardware that they call a monitor. I'm in a quandary. The worst thing by far was that The Enterprise has teleported me to something comparable to a twilight zone, and I don't have any freaking idea what to do. I've spent the last few days contemplating (this is one of the million reasons why I haven't posted anything at all on this online journal since Monday), but before you ask me all that bullshit whether I want to achieve a state of perfect enlightenment and become a Buddha or something. Let me discourage you from doing that and set the record straight. THAT IDEA IS LIKE LIGHT YEARS AWAY FROM MY MIND. Taking into consideration my present state of mind, I have far more important things to ponder right now. Suffice it to say that the song below perfectly describes my disposition. It tells my story. It expounds my dilemma. ***And you... yes, I'm talking to you. This part of the entry is about you now. Do you think that by lurking in my blog and reading my entries and then discussing it with me to purportedly show that you really are still interested with me will help advance your crusade at all? I don't think so. ![]() Alicia Keys - Karma KARMA Alicia Keys Weren't you the one that said, that you don't want me anymore. And how you need your space, and give the keys back to your door. And how I cried and tried and tried to make you stay with me. But still you said that love was gone, and that I had to leave. Now you, talkin' bout a family. Now you, sayin' I complete your dream. Now you, sayin' I'm your everything. You confusin me. What you say to me. Don't play with me. Don't play with me. Chorus: Cause what goes around, comes around. What goes up, must come down. Now who's cryin', desirin' to come back to me. What goes around, comes around. What goes up, must come down. Now who's cryin', desirin' to come back. I remember when, I was sittin' home alone. Waitin for you, 'til 3 o'clock in the morn. And when you came home, you'd always have some sorry excuse. And explainin to me, like I'm just some kinda fool. I sacrifice the things I want to and do things for you, but when it's time to do for me, you never come through. Now you, wanna be a bond of me. Now you, have so much to say to me. Now you, wanna make time for me. What you do to me. You confusin' me. Don't play with me. Don't play with me. Repeat Chorus I remember when, I was sittin home alone. Waitin for you, 'til 3 o'clock in the morn. Night after night, knowin something goin' on. Wasn't home befo' me, You was, you was gone. Lord knows it wasn't easy, but believe me. Never thought you'd be the one that would deceived me. And never do wha' u was supposed to do. No need to hose me fool, cause I'm ova' you. Repeat Chorus It's called Karma baby. And it goes around.!--begin>!--end> |

Wind of Change Posted at 01:58 AM Why do I have this feeling that my worst corporate nightmare is about to come true? Hmmm... The account that I'm servicing has started the shift bid process for the upcoming schedule rotation which will take effect in two weeks. Amidst the whirlwind of activity and excited whispers among agents belonging to the different service teams in the account, I'm left to nurse my fears and forced myself to inhibit from the informal meetings and consultations. My team, NSI's VIP Customer Care Team, has to date only 12 agents on the floor (since we're only a support team of the main call center in the US) ... and since I'm such a "dakilang pasaway," I landed on the 10th priority... which literally left me to eat muck. ![]() To make matters worse, I learned an hour ago that all the other VIP eReps which has a higher priority number than me has decided to take all the graveyard shift allocations, which leaves me to choose between a 6 a.m. shift and a 2 p.m. shift. Now, a lot of people will probably envy me, but this probable arrangement doesn't sit well with me. And why is that? Because I wan't to stay in the GY shift for the following reasons: 1.) my friends in the GY shift has all decided to work in... the GY shift! Where else? Duh! ![]() 2.) big money, big money. ![]() 3.) and probably the most important reason of all, is that I'm not really a "morning person." I'm afraid that I will only end up tardy every time I report for work and consequently, pile up one tardiness incident report after another. ![]() On a lighter note, I do hope something positive is in store for me in this new shift. ![]() Boulevard of Broken Dreams by GreenDay |

Eureka!!! Posted at 12:24 AM I just had a realization... the third best therapy to cure depression, aside from SEX and CHOCOLATES (note: in no particular order) is... a SHOPPING SPREE!!! Hehehe! Now I'm feeling much better. ![]() Here I go again. I'll be painting the town red. Let the good times roll. ![]() Sana'y Maulit Muli by Kyla and Gary Valenciano |

The Wheel Weaves, As The Wheel Wills Posted at 12:58 AM "The Way of the Leaf is not only to do NO violence, but to accept what comes. The leaf falls in its proper time, uncomplaining. Weirdness To The Nth Degree Posted at 08:06 AM I got stuck in a traffic jam along EDSA for 10 freakin' minutes at 5 in the morning! ![]() What's interesting to note though is the absence of any road accident at all. It got me thinking instead that maybe Divine Providence just willed it that all buses in Metro Manila will converge at that certain hour and at that certain time to give me the jitters, since I made a promise to myself that I will not be late in going to work, now that I'm in the morning shift. How's that? Good thing though was that I still managed to arrive in the office 15 minutes before my shift. Unfortunately, that amount of time didn't give me the chance to eat breakfast first, which I usually does in a leisurely manner and with a lot of chitchat on the side. ![]() My Goodies by Ciara |

Back... To Back... To Back... To Back Posted at 08:00 AM After that mind-numbing 6-hour cross-training on web hosting, which my account will be launching next Saturday, I felt the desperate need to unwind and relax my already drained and sleep-deprived brain. So instead of heading to the gym yesterday for my regular work out, I decided to meet a college friend to watch one of the film that's featured in the 1st Asian CineVision at the UP Film Institute (more popularly known as the UP Film Center). Little did we expect the audio-visual treat that's in store for us.
Anyway, here are the movies that I've watched this week alone. And here's a list of other Asian films which will be shown the next few days at the UP Film Institute. January 24, 2005 5 p.m. A Good Lawyer's Wife January 25, 2005 5 p.m. The Sin January 26, 2005 5 p.m. The Fruit Is Swelling January 27, 2005 5 p.m. Zhou Yu's Train January 28, 2005 5 p.m. 2046 Currently Listening To: My Boo by Usher and Alicia Keys |

When The Going Gets Tough Posted at 04:13 PM ... the tough SHOULD get going, right? More so when you're a Technical Support Representative (yup! that glorified and highly-paid telephone operator) and you have a callmaster that's screaming like the Devil himself is coming to town... ~what with a "Call Waiting" volume that flactuates between 20 to 30 from the time you login for work at 6 in the morning until you leave the office at 3 in the afternoon. Well, that has been my life for the past two weeks... ~and I've been in the morning shift for three weeks only... ~so when that push becomes a shove and you vow to yourself to take those calls head-on... ~all that smooth-talking, gut-spilling, spittle-flying bullshit would just leave your throat and mouth like a parched dessert sand. In times like these, "you need a Juicy!" Yeah! A juicy and a full water bottle I mean... throw in a handy, spill-proof travelling mug as well... for a hot sip/swallow/gulp of coffee during those sleepy, yawn-filled moments in between calls. Hehehe! ![]() So say "Hello!" to my best friends... and be good to them. Hmmm? They're my life savers. ![]() Currently Reading: The Feast Of All Saints by Anne Rice |
