Sir Francis Galton, originator of eugenics and important techniques in statistics. Alexander Parkes, inventor of celluloid, the first synthetic plastic. Joseph Priestley, chemist and radical. James Watt, engineer and inventor; associated with the steam engine. John Wright, inventor of a type of electroplating. SHOPPING AND ENTERTAINMENT ====================== -the old Bull Ring complex (once a notorious architectural eyesore) was demolished to make way for a large shopping centre that includes Selfridges -lesser known shopping centres located near the Bull Ring complex such as the Pavillions Shopping Centre, The Mailbox and the Pallisades (The Mall), which is located directly above New Street Station -principal shopping streets are New Street, High Street and Corporation Street -the Jewellery Quarter, to the north of the city centre, specializes in jewellery and contains many small workshops and retailers -Birmingham has a large number of pubs and clubs. The club scene is mainly around Broad Street and Hurst Street but bands perform regularly in many live venues around the city. Is There A Full Moon? Posted at 10:55 PM I don't know if there's some kind of peculiar inter-planetary or cosmic activity going on... or if there's a full moon outside... or if this is caused by the wierd workings of the tide... or it's just the mating season (and am I supposed to be in heat?!)... or if this is influenced by all the said phenomena. Well, this is how it goes. I've noticed that I've been extra horny this week. As in really, really, really randy all day - every day. Even if I go out to find a sex partner (or two!) and have a ball in bed, by the time that I get home or I find myself alone... I still have to jack-off once or twice just to satisfy my ever rigid "you-know-what." Hehehe!  I guess this is what you would call as "raging hormones." Right? Hell, I'm sure that I'll beat a high school adolescent anytime with my sexcapades just to you know... satisfy my cravings. Let me make one thing clear though, it's not as if I'm complaining or something ('cause I'm not, duh!  ), since it's pretty fun when you come to think of it.Really!!! It's just that I want to know what could be causing this "occurence"?! For lack of a better term.  Anyone with a bright idea? P.S. Thanks to Riddick (you know who you are) for keeping me company online until the crack of dawn. We should talk more often, I'm learning a lot of new things from you... even the dirty ones. Hahaha! |

Posted at 04:04 AM Yesterday turned out to be such a horrible, boring... but badly needed snooze-fest. :dizzy: And thinking that this may not be a sufficient treat for me, the gods were kind enough to bring forth the rains... yes! probably to make my sleep more comfortable. Marauder On The Loose Posted at 11:49 AM During one of my dapartment store raids, which I do on a regular basis with friends and just whoever is lucky enough to be with me at the time, I chanced upon this fantastic shirt...  Yup. It's just a shirt, but it's a MARIO T-SHIRT. Duh! It reminded me so much of my childhood, when so much of my free time was spent in front of the family computer playing games like Battle City, Contra, Pac-Man... and of course, Mario Bros. Seeing it was like woh! I can't help but gaze wondrously at the print. Originally, I only intended to try on the shirt to see if it fits me... but as usual, the impulsive buyer in me finished the transaction without batting an eyelash. |

HELP!!! Posted at 12:24 PM Sleepless and wide awake at 3 in the freakin' morning... As my partner was busily and happily meandering through Dream's magical domain when dawn was about to break through the horizon, my caffeine-drugged and insomnia induced synapses on the other hand was hyperactive. My id, ego, superego unanimously joined my body (just like in Voltes V) in clamoring that I look for something to do... an activity or a task that's more interesting than staring at the ceiling, trying to imagine myself counting sheeps and fool my awareness into falling into a blissful, dreamless sleep. Nah! On seconf thought, I'll even go for a restless, fitful sleep... just as long as I'm ASLEEP. Anyway, I was forced to rouse myself from the warmth and comfort of our bed and decided to begin a ridiculously early cruise in the internet superhighway. What I actually planned to do was go online and login to YM to catch up with friends. Or better yet, meet new friends in the chat rooms. More popularly known as the "user rooms." But as fate would have it, a surprise was in store for me. Damn! I can't find a single "user room" in the whole YM universe. And I mean, not a single, freakin' one. I don't have any clue at all as to what happened to those hundreds of "user rooms" and to make matters worst, I don't have anyone to ask since all the people in my list were not online at that time. I've been online and logged-in to YM and MSN Instant Messenger from Monday to Friday for the last five or six weeks, but this is actually the first time that I tried to get into the "user rooms" in what seemed like ages. So, can somebody tell me where the hell all those bloody "user rooms" went? If you have any information with regards to this matter, please don't hesitate to contact me.
